Aplus 33: Tile Adhesive

Mortar for homogenous tile or granite adhesive.

Aplus 33 Tile Adhesive is a mortar that can serve as adhesive for homogenous / granite tile, marble, terrazzo, and natural stone, both floor and wall, in interior and exterior areas.

Reference Standard: EN 12004:2001

  • Coverage area: ± 5 m2 / 3 mm thick

  • Water requirement: 5.0 – 6.0 liters / 25 kg
  1. Ensure the surface for tile installation is level and stable
  2. Clean the surface from dust and dirt using water
  3. Pour 5–6 liters of water into a container
  4. Add Aplus Tile Adhesive 33 (25 kg) into a container filled with water
  5. Mix the solution thoroughly using a hand mixer
  6. Apply the mortar to the surface for tile installation and spread evenly with a flat trowel
  7. Level the mixture using a notched trowel at a 45˚ angle
  8. Apply a thin and even layer of mortar to the cleaned back side of the ceramic/granite tile For large ceramic/granite tiles, it is recommended to use the additional 'Back Buttering' method
  9. Place the ceramic/granite tile onto the wet mortar, adjust it to the correct position, and use tile spacers to ensure even grout lines
  10. The recommended adhesive layer thickness is 2–10 mm, depending on the flatness of the substrate surface
  11. Tap the ceramic/granite tile with a rubber mallet to ensure proper adhesion and a level surface
  12. Clean the tile joints from excess mortar using a grout remover
  13. Proceed with tile grout application
